Nobodies of Breckenridge

Warning:

Pages in this section will have refrences to drugs, alcohol, and violence. This page is a WIP!

Nobodies of Breckenridge, also known as Breckenridge, is a story about four twentysomethings trying to navigate life after saving the world consistently as teenagers. It is a sort of sequel series to an old story I made in 2009 called Sunday Morning, about the same four protagonists but as young teenagers.

Story

Breckenridge I imagine is more episodic in nature, so there isn't a particular narrative other than the loose overarching story of the main four characters, Grey, Logan, Mia, and Seth all trying to come to terms with their lives and being able to survive modern day life in their late 20s. Once, these four teens would constantly save their city from random chaotic situations like zombies, aliens, the occasional supervillain, all while dealing with teen drama. Though they weren't heroes by any means and weren't ever in the spotlight, it was clear these three were special in a way, despite not having powers, using only their wits, teamwork, and an occasional chainsaw.

Nowadays, the four have to adapt to normal, quiet adult lives. Seth, with pressure from his family to take over the family business, wants nothing to do with it and attempts to claw his way away from it all. Mia, lost and fills the empty hole in her life with fleeting relationships and struggles to commit to much of anything in her life. Logan, feeling like a failure, dropped out of college in his final year of grad school and moves back home, unsure of his next moves. Grey struggles to make a career out of his passion and works a dead-end job while still living with his parents.

Characters

Grey

Grey

A man who seemingly never grew out of his emo phase. Bitter, self-deprecating, and painfully sarcastic, Grey struggles to let others in.
logan

Logan

Someone who would rather be someone else. Unconfident, Logan tries to fake it as best he can, but he scrutinizes every decision he makes for himself.
mia

Mia

A woman who finds comfort in chaos. Mia finds herself at odds with herself, and constantly needs to keep moving and have change in her life.
Grey

Seth

A guy just trying to get away from his family. Seth is sheltered, making him naive and unprepared for the outside world around him.

Breckenridge is a large sandbox-style universe with full cast of characters with different narratives. Though Grey and pals are the main characters, they will often interact with other characters, though many of them are minor. Currently they do not have any on-site pages as of yet, and they link to their toyhouses. They have not been updated in a long time, so some of their profiles are out of date lorewise.

Floyd - A party animal. Floyd seems to be running away from something, using parties, drugs, and alcohol to forget it all.

Roxy - Alt witch. Roxy finds comfort in the macabre, and struggles to belong. Hides it with a coy playful personality.

Kendrick - A man who takes pride in his appearance. Adores attention, to the point where it's detrimental for him. Obsessive and lies a lot.

Forrest - A time-traveler with terrible time management. Forrest struggles to adapt to modern times, but it's better than being home.

Katie - Loud and unapolagetically herself. Katie can never find a moment to sit still and uses her childish interests to cope with reality.

Patrick - Grey's older brother. They were constantly at odds growing up but they've since mellowed out their beef. Lives out of state.

Beth - Grey's younger sister. Currently in college at Stonebrook, Beth wants nothing to do with her parents, leaving Grey to take care of them himself.

Archie - Mia's older brother. A little less put together than his sister. Has a band, but struggling to make it big.

Setting

Right image example.

Breckenridge takes place on modern-day Earth. The city itself is fictional, but real life cities still exist. The world of Breckenridge is popoulated entirely by anthropomorphic animals, and mainly the fur type mammalians. The story mainly takes place in the eponymous city, but there are other locations of note within and surrounding it.

Cities

Breckenridge Metro Area - Breckenridge is a city in the upper midwest United States. Its population is around 300k with the metro area surrounding it around 600k, which includes the suburbs and loose villages around its radius. A rapidly growing city, though still has a bit of small town charm to it. Its culture of family and friendship make the city seemingly kind and friendly, but most towners will tell you a lot of it is fake nice.

Stonebrook - A 50 mile drive East from Breckenridge, Stonebrook is the larger, fancier city that most people from around the area will travel to. With its booming population of a million, the city is home to Stonebrook State University, a top school in the state. Logan went here before dropping out.

Breckenridge Landmarks

Press Start - A barcade owned by a young, successful millenial couple. Grey works as a full time bartender, along with Kendrick. Flash is often here.

Smoke Zone - A smoke shop selling all kinds of products. Mia works here.

WIP There's more I just need to put it all here.

Worldbuilding

Idk what else to call it. Fictional bands and brands and other people. Also polarity skies characters show up here.

Musicians

The Demerits - A world-famous post-punk grungy style band active since the 2000s. Also Mia's favorite band.

Metamorphostyx - A sludge metal type band local to the Breckenridge area. Mia's brother Archie is the frontman.
